We avoided numeric ratings because this subjectivity would do no justice to the varying needs for different levels of heat and different types of tastes. Not everyone wants a complex sauce with strong taste tones that can be overbearing for an already spicy dish. The challenge with heat is its subjectivity. What is fiery for one person can be rather mild to another.
